John Napier (1550-1617)

John Napier (1550-1617) was a Scottish mathematician who revolutionised calculations with his invention of logarithms. His groundbreaking work made complex multiplications and divisions manageable, paving the way for faster scientific progress. Napier also created logarithmic charts, an early step in visualising mathematical relationships, and introduced tools like Napier’s Bones to simplify computations.
